The Rose Restaurant

HISTORY OF THE ROSE RESTAURANT

The building is considered a vernacular Victorian and was built some time between 1898 and 1900. It was moved to its current location in 1910. The house was a residence until 1984. At that time it was remodeled to operate as a restaurant. First the house operated as the Terrance House Restaurant, followed by Long Wong's, Giovanni's, then TJ's BBQ. The Rose Restaurant was opened July of 1997. Under new ownership since August 2005, The Dievendorffs and the Dolans enhanced the dining room in January 2006 to restore The Rose's Victorian elegance and style.

The Rose Restaurant remains Prescott's premier dining establishment. We have been awarded by Market Surveys of America (as voted by the locals): #1 in Dining Excellence 2007, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001 Best Wait Staff 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004 Plus we've earned these other nationally recognized awards: AAA Approved 3-Diamond Frommer's 2-Star (Very Highly Recommended) The Rose Restaurant was featured on network TV as Best of Prescott dining.
